Welcome to Glenside Medical Centre

We are excited to announce that Beacon Medical Group and Glenside Medical Centre have merged following a series of negotiations and patient consultations.

The merger will create a practice serving approximately 40,000 patients across Plympton, Ivybridge and Wotter.

We believe having a closer working relationship will enhance the services we are able to offer our community and benefit the population of Plympton.

Doctors at Glenside Medical Centre will continue to deliver Primary Care services at their Glenside Rise location in Plympton.

Initially, most changes will happen behind the scenes, for example, through more efficient buying power and better use of technology we will look to ease the pressure on our clinical teams, enabling them to complete new work, and offer improved services to patients.

Over the coming months patients might notice some changes in terms of access to appointments, making online bookings and additional services, although we will aim to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum.

When the practices IT systems are fully integrated, which might take a few months, patients will be able to make appointments at any of the Beacon Medical Group practices. We want to reassure you that providing excellent clinical care now and in the long term is our foremost concern.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any concerns on the numbers situated above.

Dr Murphy retired from the Practice on 31st March 2017.
